Hematological Diseases A specialized staff of registered veterinary technicians and animal care attendants support Drs. Alan Norris, Doug Mason, Kevin Finora and Dawn Martin in providing care for animals with complex medical ailments. The team works with some of the most advanced diagnostic equipment available in order to produce the most accurate and timely diagnosis possible. Internal medicine specialty services offered at the VEC include, but are not limited to, CT scanning, ultrasonography, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, endoscopy, electrocardiography, blood pressure and pulse oximetery, transfusions, fluid therapy, chemotherapy, tube feeding, respiratory support and intensive in-hospital care. The VEC is a 24 hour, 7 day a week facility. All patients requiring hospitalization will be closely monitored throughout the day and night by qualified veterinary clinicians and registered veterinary technical staff. The comfort, safety and well being of the patient is their primary concern. The VEC staff maintains a high level of communication with the client as well as the referring veterinarian. Upon discharge from the hospital all medical records and recommendations associated with the case are promptly forwarded to the primary care clinician. Consultations with Dr. Norris, Dr. Mason, Dr. Finora or Dr. Martin are available through a referral from a primary care veterinarian.
